From Rob and Bob.... 'Macclesfield Harriers have some great teams for this weekend's championship race.
Full list available here: https://goo.gl/eDteR2, with more info at http://www.cheshireaa.com/
ENTRIES ARE NOW CLOSED
For course maps see:
http://www.valeroyalathleticclub.co.uk/index.html
Bob has asked me to pass this information on to all runners.
"We are being asked to park at the Whitefields car park which is 500m further up the B5152 past the station and Delamere access road. This car park will be manned and then people will be directed across the busy road and through the wooded area to the start finish area.
Car parking will cost and the meters only accept coins (bring ÂŁ4 to be safe).
Registration is close to the start finish from a cabin in the wardens storage compound.
Some of us have gone round the course. It is going to be testing and I would recommend good trail shoes for anyone running the large laps. The u/11s may prefer spikes as their course is mainly flat and across the fields and first wooded area. None of it is going to be easy- there is a an initial dash (!) across two fields, then a double back thro a wooded muddy area. Then if you are doing the large lap it is a steep winding climb up a trail, followed by a steep decent (caution!) back down into two fields before going round again!"
Cheers, good luck everyone, and see you Saturday.
Rob

A great turnout from the Macclesfield Harriers at the Cheshire Cross Country Championships in Birchwood Forest, Warrington. The weather was ideal for quick racing and many Harriers rose to the occasion.
