Club Organised Races

Macclesfield Harriers & A.C. (MH&AC) is a varied club with activity in Track & Field, Road Running, Fell Running and Cross Country. In addition to hosting Track & Field events the club organises several races each year.

The club has a strong belief in supporting the local community and currently donates all net profits (after costs) from each of these races to local charities -  we even openly show our race costings so that participants see exactly where the money goes! MH&AC is one of the few clubs to do this.

The club races are shown below with links to more detail.

Run Macc Fest - We are planning a RunMaccFest 2020 Charity Challenge to take place on 19th and 20th September. Subject to government guidance at the time, we expect to hold a weekend event of informal, small group runs and virtual challenges of different distances on road, trail and possibly track. We will be mobilising the Macclesfield Harriers community to get out, get the miles in and generate much needed sponsorship funds for our nominated charities; The Rossendale Trust, Just Drop-In and Cre8. Our organising team had set a target of raising £15,000 to donate to these 3 nominated charities in 2020.

Langley 7 - a hilly road race in Oct/Nov that is not really 7 miles anymore and does not go through Langley anymore, but still has great cakes!

Forest 5 - a hilly trail/fell race around Macclesfield Forest usually held in mid July

Tegg's Nose Fell Race - this race is part of the annual Sheepdog trials

Why not come along to try one of our races!
