England Athletics Affiliation

Macclesfield Harriers is affiliated to England Athletics. This affiliation provides the club with various benefits such as insurance, training, discounts and reduced entry fees to races.

Club members can join Macc Harriers as a 'competing' member or a 'social' (or 'non-competing') member. The club fee is the same for both membership types but 'competing' members pay an additional affiliation fee to the club which is passed directly to England Athletics.

Each competing member has a URN (Unique Runner Number) that is used for competition (this number is yours for life (as long as you remain a competing member). Non-competing members must pay a higher fee and run as 'unattached' in races.
