SIAB international XC, Wollaton Park

Congratulations to Sian-Louise Heslop, representing England in the Schools International Athletics Board (SIAB) XC competitions at Wollaton Park, Nottingham, which involve England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

Sian - racing against athletes quite a bit older than her - came 3rd in the Intermediate Girls race, and helped her team to 1st place in the competition. Another great performance: well done again Sian.

National Cross Country Championships

From Rob Hasler - Thanks Rob !.... 'Just in case you missed the excitement at the weekend ...

Sian Heslop is now the U15 English Cross Country Champion!

The National Cross Country championships returned to the iconic Parliament Hill in London, in what can only be described as beautiful (but very cold) day. The course is one of the hilliest of the season especially when considering the first long and steep climb.

Sian had an amazing race pushing on in the last 1K to take her win by 8 seconds in a field of 464 runners. It was not just Sian who had an outstanding race. Finley Proffitt also secured a top 10 position in the U15 race against a strong field of 504 runners and Louisa Whittingham continued the Harriers top 10 performances to finish in an outstanding 8th Position in the very competitive Junior Women race. Sarah Stockman also ran well to finish high up the field in 39th.

16 Harriers into total went down for the race with a few familiar faces there to support our runners.
