2018 Summer Series - results

WED SUMMER SERIES CLIMAX

13 Harriers turned out in a field of 171 for this last race in our summer series (Eccles Pike). Allen Bunyan was 1st back in 10th place just pipping Chris Bentley 11th with Mark Burley 15th. Allananh Birtwistle was 4th lady overall closely followed by Anne-Marie Jones (1st LV65) and Rachael Lawrance. These 3 combining to take the ladies team prize. Yours truly (Barry B) picked up a bottle of plonk as 1st V70 as did Trevor Longman 1st V65.

2018 Langley Fete Fell Run Report and Results

From race supremo Soph... 'Many thanks to all runners that took part in the the Langley Fete Fell Run!

We had a record turn out this year which was a surprise given the very warm weather ! Some had even taken part in the Alderley Edge 10k that morning and others had run the Whaley Waltz the day before.

2018 Forest 5 - Results & Race Report

Race Report - Emma Beveridge

Thank you for coming along and taking part in the 2018 Forest 5. This year's Forest 5 race route was very different because of the damage to the trees caused by the winter storms.
The weather remained warm and dry and the views were tremendous. I am pleased to report it was a resounding success and the feedback I’ve had has been very positive. So I’ve made the decision to keep this route permanently.

2018 Forest 5 - revised route

2018 - Forest 5 - due to the extensive storm damage earlier in the year some of the paths and trails in Macclesfield Forest are not accessible. So, here is the route for the 2018 event (Wednesday 18th July). The route is more 'technical' (Open moorland and steep descent) than previous years and so trail/fell shoes are ESSENTIAL.
