Navigation Skills - 26th May - update

The one day Navigation Skills course is on Sunday 26th May 2019 - 2 places left

The aim of the course is to provide basic skills in map reading and navigation when out in the countryside. The course is for paid club members only and will be on Sunday 26th May from 10.00am until 4.00pm. The morning venue is Langley Cricket Club and the afternoon practice session is in the Goyt Valley. It is a mix of classroom and practical sessions (including a two hour route in the afternoon to practice your new skills with help from experienced fell runners). The cost is £6 to cover venue hire and admin. Tea/Coffee will be available at a small cost and we are asking participants to bring cake and a packed lunch.

Please can you let Neil (neil.gunn 'at' gmail.com) know if you want one of the remaining places (first come first served and we will operate a waiting list in case anybody drops out)

This session is open to all club members, and is I'm sure something we could all learn from.

Club Fell championship races 2019

From Graham and Barry... We’re excited to announce the 2019 Club Fell Champs.

Some of us like the challenge of the High Fells, some struggle to get time away and some are content with local races. We have taken all of this into account and have come up with a range of races and locations with something for everyone designed to encourage maximum participation.

Overall there’s a choice of 28 races including the High Fell Series of 6 races (best 3 to count), the Wed night Summer Series of 8 races (best 5 to count, the same as this year), plus 14 other local races.
