Macclesfield Harriers & Athletic Club

Cross Discipline Challenge 2020

All Club Members - Juniors and Seniors!  As you think about what racing you will do this year then why not take on this challenge.  It’s a great way to step out of your comfort zone and to meet people from different parts of the club.  And a bit of variety is a good for your running!  Details are here:

http://www.mh.k313.com/mh/general/CrossDisciplineRules.pdf

If you think you may have completed this year’s challenge then don’t forget to send me an email to make your claim.  My email address is at the bottom of the challenge details and emails must be received no later than 2 weeks before the AGM in March.

Tell me which events you have taken part in (2 from each discipline of Fell, Road, Cross Country & Track and Field), what volunteering you have done for the club and what you have enjoyed.

Thanks,

Dave Larkin

Joy has asked me to pass on the sad news that Barry passed peacefully away this evening with his family around him in hospital.

Barry was much loved, giving us all lots of help, friendship and anecdotes. In letting Joy and Barry’s family time to cope with their loss, Emma will circulate a book of condolence that everyone can contribute to and then given to Joy in memory of Barry from his Macc Harrier friends.

Our thoughts and support go to Barry’s family in this difficult time.

Below from Dave Tucker, put better than I think any of the rest of us could have done...

Call for cakes for Run Macc Fest, Sun 22nd September....

... so if you could have a word with your inner baker, all donations will be very welcome, we have several hundred runners who we suspect will be hungry after their races !

Get in touch with Steve or Fran, or bring them on the morning to the clubhouse / track. (If you bring a box or tin and want it back, please put your name on it. )

Thanks very much in advance !
