Success for Hilary West at European Masters Indoor Championships Madrid

Congratulations to Hilary, who reports... 'We got back from Madrid late on Friday night and what a week it was!
I ran my 400m heat on Monday and got through to Tuesday's final - I came 5th and ran an indoor pb 72.67 and was only 8/100ths behind 4th place.Â
It was the 800m heats on Wed and again I got through to Thursday's final. In the final I finished 4th and missed out on bronze by a mere 2/10ths of a second but it was another indoor pb.Â
All in all a hectic week but a great experience and I wore my GB Masters kit with pride!'

Hat trick of medals for Hilary West !

Hilary competed at the British Masters Champs at Lee Valley at the weekend and won a hat-trick of medals !
On Saturday a silver in the W60 400m which was an indoor pb and a new club record.
On Sunday a bronze in the 200m, a new club record and another bronze in the 800m which was an indoor pb and another club record.Â
And... next weekend she's off to Madrid to compete in the European Masters Indoor Champs, She 'says' she's not expecting any medals (we've heard that before !) but I'm sure it'll be an amazing experience !

Training starts again on Tuesday 2nd January 2018 from 6.00pm onwards.
