Struggled round a parkrun this morning.... not too bad given too much home brew and not much sleep.
The first person back, by about 90 seconds, was a vet 45 lady who ran 15.44. Those of you who know owt about running 5k will know that is pretty quick, although a long way outside her pb: after 300 yd she had a 50 yd 'lead'.
How did she manage it?
Canine assistance!
Not a particularly big pooch, but it can obviously both shift a bit and give a decent tow.
They also must be well practiced together, otherwise they'd just end up in a heap travelling that quick.
So, Lilly, Johnny, Kirby etc., New Years resolution calls, get a bit of training in, nd your owner coild be on the track (or the beach..) in Rio come the summer !
