Head torch

Postby PaulR » Fri Oct 24, 2014 11:06 am

Hi all, I would be grateful for any recommendations for decent head torches. It will be used for off road running including the Wednesday night sessions over the autumn and winter months. I did buy a cheap one but it isn't bright enough !
Many thanks in advance.

Looks good Brian. I've just ordered one as my Petzl has just packed in.

I've got the 'orienteering set' from this site: http://www.brightbikelights.com/

I've had it a couple of years and still love it. Incredibly bright, but will last all night on lowest setting (which is still far brighter than my old Petzl Tikka). And they're based in Poynton, which is handy.

The lovely Trevor at brightbikelights.com has asked me to mention that he offers a 20% discount for local clubs. Enter the code 'northwestnight' at checkout. (No, I'm not on commission :-))

Folks,

Can confirm Clare's info about discounts:
"BrightBikeLights have set up a discount coupon giving 20% off all headlights at BrightBikeLights.com - the code which should be entered during the checkout process is 'NORTHWESTNIGHT' (all upper case)
At the moment it can be applied to any of the Orienteering / Headlights but it may be extended to all products soon"
best wishes, Mike G
