Only £10 and we could even manage a few beers afterwards/before?

Can't seem to get this message "posted". It could appear anywhere!!!!

There was a discussion on a couple of Sunday runs that we run from my house on the Sunday morning, come back for tea and cakes which I'll provide, and then go and see Richard Askwith. What do people think? I'm keen to see him whatever is decided.

I think this sounds like a good plan. I will try to keep the day free (it does clash with the Track and Field event that Harriers are hosting but that will not affect most of the fell runners).

What shall we do about booking tickets - do our own?

Neil
PS for those helping at Macc Half this weekend I will see you on Sunday at the track!

Sorry I meant to mention that I have already booked my tickets, the run on Sunday sounds like a good idea Hazel, unfortunatley I will be in Leicester Saturday night so will only get back in time for the talk itself.

I checked how the sales of the tickets were going last week and I can assure you they are not going like "hot cakes". However, anyone that wants to guarantee a ticket can book in advance. I think the people who just turn up on the day and don't want the commitment just yet, will not have problems on the day. But, I will keep any eye on the event (just in case).

Can people spread the word to other clubs in the area about the talk - it would be nice to get a good turn out for him.

kind regards

Julie

Hope to get along for this...sounds like a good do, and a run beforehand sounds ideal.
