"Rosie, oh Rosie
I'd like to paint your face up in the sky
Sometimes when I'm busy
Relaxing I'd look up and catch your eye"

hands up all those who remember Don Partridge.

more like.....

Wanna tell you a story
'Bout a woman I know
Ah, come to lovin'
Ooh, she steals the show
She ain't exactly pretty
Ain't exactly small
Forty-two, thirty-nine, fifty-six
You could say she's got it all!

Never had a woman
Never had a woman like you

Doing all the things
Doing all the things you do

Ain't no fairy story
Ain't no skin and bone

But you give it all you got
Weighing in at nineteen stone

You're a whole lotta woman
A whole lotta woman
Whole lotta Rosie
Whole lotta Rosie

My hand is up Mr A.
Kelly Jones had a few words on Rosie too, haunting but quite depressing.

Tell him this is his last chance to get his daughter in a fine romance
because a record company Rosie just gave me a big advance.
and my tyres were slashed and I all must crashed but the lord had mercy
and my machine she's a dud stuck in the mud somewhere in the swamps of Jersey

I for one am with Digby on this subject. Along with a certain pensionable age guitarist by the name of Angus. Strangely after many many years of performing he still appears dressed as a schoolboy.
Cheers. :)

Digby, you are a man of great taste. Rock, don't folk.
Old enough to know better, daft enough to still give it a go...

and to prove it this is where we went:-

best not dwell on miles 2 to 3 too much, let's just say it was slow going and not much singing.

Oh, and we went to Rosies Tea Rooms afterwards. She does a superb bacon butty.
