That was our route precisely Craig. I did hear some people discussing the checkpoint at the top left hand corner of the map labelled with an arrow and description KT 2011. They were wondering if it would get them bonus points!
I did look at taking 5 after 10 & before 8 which is what Geoff says he did. It looked quite a marginal decision ( thats good course planning by Mr. Howie ) but I decided there what be better running with 10, 8, 5.
It was a really big second! I legged it once I hit tarmac on the way back (6 min miling so a chap I ran with for a bit told me) just as well.
Same route as Craig (kt 2011 did look attractive!) except went k5 to k2 across horrendous tussocks before realising had forgotten k8. C'est la vie. Must have added ca 15 to 20mins.
Thoroughly enjoyed the run, well, apart from tripping and stumbling through that darn heather!
Larry, thanks for the company and the learning -you have convinced me to do some more orienteering events in the future.
