Macc Half (25th September) - volunteer needed

Postby Neil Gunn » Sun Sep 18, 2016 7:37 pm

Hi all

A big thank you to those who have already volunteered to help at this year's Macc Half/5k. I really appreciate that the fell section give up the Sunday run to help the club.

I'm doing well filling jobs (160 so far!) but I don't have a spare marshal for the YELLOW sector of the course (from Priory Lane, down through Prestbury and up to Hare Hill. If anybody is free and could spare a couple of hours that would be great (there is a meal in the clubhouse for the volunteers after the prize-giving at about 12.45).

If you can help please drop me an email at neil.gunn@gmail.com ...thank you,

Neil

Hi Neil

Rob and I think we're helping out but haven't heard anything yet.

There was talk of the mini roundabout near the Leisure Centre but I wonder if I've made that up?!

We need to be somewhere easy for Rob to get to (and sit) and I will be bringing HoundFace too (that's Paprika - not Rob)...

Thanks, Kirsty x

Hi Kirsty

I think that somehow your name was dropped off my long list of volunteers (I have so many names I forgot a few unless they came in by email).

In fact all the jobs are now filled but you are very welcome to come along to 'double up' with any marshal on the route (in that way you can choose a location that suits Rob).

Look at the marshal area of www.macc-half.co.uk for details of marshal locations

BLUE Sector around the Leisure Centre could be good (contact Kath Turner) or if you don't want to be out too long pick GREEN/PINK locations might work otherwise feel free to join in anywhere!

Is that OK?
