Thanks Graham. Can you come and find me before the race, and I will let you know if I need any pre-race help then. Otherwise I am getting there - now just short of some road crossing and some finish line marshalls

All marshalls - Now listed on revised chart on this post. Please report to the Brewery at 1pm for yellow vest and briefing.
Let me know by phone (07748 692342) if any of you are having any problems

I am still short of an extra person to help man the Shrigley Road crossing (on the road to Pott Shrigley), so hopefully one will materialise before tomorrow.

Those wonderful words, 'Report to the brewery'. That's the kind of order I can obey without question!

Thanks to all of the fantastic marshalls for their help yesterday. It just wouldn't be possible without you all. An especially big thank you to Dave Walker and Jude for all the efforts they put in to try and rescue a lame runner on Kerridge Hill. Frustrating as it must have been when he escaped the scene, he did at least report back to race HQ.
There were a few other lumps and bumps (mostly from overhanging shrubbery), and even a DNF because of an attack of gout!, but otherwise a great race. Lots of money was raised for Buxton Mountain Rescue Team, and the results along with a full report will be out before the end of Monday.

Andy

I think your description of the "man down" is pretty apt - lame! Suspect we need to pull out anyone turning up in plimsolls, having seemingly done no training, for a hilly run in future, as participants like this are going so slowly they lose touch with the rest of the field very quickly. What it does demonstrate is the need for 2 sweeps, which we did thankfully have, with phones to cover this type of incident. If we had only 1 sweep, something would have had to give.

Overall another successful day though so well done all
