EASTER MONDAY RUN; Kinder Downfall Reccy

Postby BARRY BLYTH » Thu Mar 24, 2016 8:40 pm

Discussed this on Wed night:

I'm leaving my house (10 Marlborough close, SK10 2LA) at 8.30am.Welcome to share/park at mine. I'll be driving to meet up near Jon Faulkner's on Sugar Lane Rainow (near the Robin Hood pub) for 8.45. where other will be leaving from.

Head for Hayfield and park at the George Hotel/pub on Church st. Should be there for ca 9.15. Easy paced 2hr run. Back in Macc for 12 ish.

The 2nd half was a lot more difficult than you can expect for race day end April. Done it 9 times and never had snow obscured paths. Mist, strong wind and hail in your face from Kinder Downfall to Kinder Low didn't help. Shouldn't have put my fleece in my rucksack going up William Clough (too warm!). E mailed some photos Steph took. Too large to attach to this post (can't spot a resize option).

Reiterate your comments about Steph's cakes and hot chocolate. How thoughtful; thanks Steph.

Bracing conditions up on Kinder but we all made it back unscathed, huge thanks for the post run refreshments Steph!

Next week we'll recommence the Teggs Nose Monday nights, open to all, plan is to have 2 groups to suit everyone's choice of pace and distance, so everyone is welcome !
