Sunday Run 13th march 2016

Not The Edale Skyline Race Run. 9.30 Edale Station Car Park.

Here's a chance to run some of the Skyline race route at the same time as the race, on the same route and under the same conditions. This may leave you wishing you had entered the race or glad you hadn't.

2014 Edale Skyline Race. David Cudworth

We'll run the race route in reverse to see the runners coming through and give anyone we know some "encouragement". Out for 2hours+.

Meet and park in the Council car park at Edale Station.

Conditions could still be snowy on the tops so waterproof socks would be good and plenty of good gear if it's chilly.

Meet at Tucker's at 8.55 for car sharing.

Tea & cakes in the NT Station Cafe afterwards.

Dave, when you say run the route in reverse, I'm assuming you don't mean the entire route (in 2 hours)
I'm in, and will pop round for car share in the morning.

Gill - The plan is to run round to Jaggers Clough from Edale, then join the race route in reverse to the southern edge path on Kinder so we meet the racers head on! We should be about about 2 hours at a gentle pace.

The weather looks fine for the race tomorrow with temperatures reaching 8oC in the valley, warmer in the sun, so a nice day out for all!

Sunny
Humidity 70%
Visibility Good
Pressure (Millibars) 1036
Wind Direction ESE - 7 mph

Click here for the 2000 race results. Mark Hartell was 1st harrier home closely followed by Trev and other various then younger Harriers!

You were, and I had to abandon helping a lad with bad cramp at the top of Ringing Roger because Pete was bearing down on me!

Spotted Trev. Looks like I'm holding a microphone or a rat flavoured Icecream Cornet ! How come Andy is smiling it was b..... hard work. Simon had a good run coming in 5th. Mandy was 1st LV 50 in a stong field whilst I was 1st V69.
Nice day for it. Happy to complete it.

Great pics and nice to see the support along the way. Lovely day but hard going - don't know how Andy was looking so fresh at the end? The Kirtsy's did well too - Kirst H 5th lady and Kirsty B finishing after doing Grindleford Gallop on Sat
