Navigation course call for volunteers

Postby phil cheek » Fri Jan 22, 2016 1:18 am

Within a few hours of announcing this course we have the day half filled.
To make it work I need 3 or preferably 4 competent navigators to shadow/advise on a mini mountain course after lunch & 1 helper for the morning when we will be covering map & compass basics, pacing etc.
If you are available please volunteer, details are on the website.
All applicants to date are in,I will try to respond to you all tomorrow

The first course has been filled within 48 hours of being announced.
The enthusiasm of our novice offroad runners is inspiring.
So VOLUNTEERS please to assist, only needed for a few hours after lunch as I have the morning sessions covered (though you would be welcome to contribute to the morning sessions as well)

Hi Phil

As discussed, I am happy to help. In the afternoon I will support any 'slower' group (hopefully they can cut short if needed) as I hope to run the 401 Marathon with Ben on Monday 11th so don't want to wreck my legs!

Phil

Great idea and so kind of you to organise the course. Not surprised that it is popular. Unfortunately, I am away that weeked but very willing to consider helping at another date in the near future.
