That's Lyth - Sunday 31st January

Postby Hazel » Mon Jan 11, 2016 4:14 pm

That's Lyth is an LDWA event starting at 8.00 am from Kendal on 31st January. 24 miles, 3,000' ascent and only £6.00 to enter. There are no entries on the day. I have registered and hopefully so has Julie Fletcher (no pressure there Julie!!!!!). Anyone else interested? If you haven't done an LDWA event they are extremely well organised, pretty relaxed depending on whether you want to race round or not, plenty of food and drink at checkpoints and suitable for runners and walkers.

Hazel, I've done That's Lyth a few times, it's a great run out. Very runnable and for a Lakes run, fairly flat(ish). If it wasn't a Sunday I'd be there myself again.

Both I'm trusting you know the event is supposed to be on Sunday the 31st Jan not (Saturday) the 23rd.

Very good event.

I have sent my entry in so think I will be there. Did it last year (so did Mandy & Martin). Wondering how much slower I'll be this year!

Oh good heavens, I knew full well it was on the 31st. How on earth did I manage to post it as the 23rd. Can anyone change the date on the post? I have no idea how to do so. Aaaaagh - the little grey cells are really deteriorating

Does anyone want to head up to the South Lakes anyway on the 31st, and perhaps do the Kentmere horseshoe instead?

As after a considerable time after posting it my entry for That's Lyth was returned with "event full" (I was convinced it had been accepted) wouldn't mind a trip up to the Lakes instead.

Sorry. I am not not up for Lakes on 31st - as I have Kinder Trial on the Saturday and need my day of rest with the family, but up for a day in the lakes another weekend.
