Staffs Moorlands Xmas Cracker

Postby Julian Brown » Tue Dec 15, 2015 12:53 pm

... is this Sunday, 8 miles or so from Tittesworth Res., Meerbrook.

More info here... http://www.staffsmoorlands-ac.co.uk/our-races/christmas-cracker/47-christmas-cracker-2015

Fancy dress positively encouraged, in fact rumour has it Dave Buxton will be attempting to retain the best fancy dress prize he won last year.

Hope to see a few of you there !!

On yes indeed...it is no rumour, I will be there again with my "little friend" ! Don Key has retired and been put out to grass and this year someone/something much less benevolent will be taking to the course!! As with Tux and the handicap trophy, might as well get the engraving done in advance.......

Those out on the roaches this morning, lovely day to be racing, would have seen a dastardly fellow in pursuit of a turkey, whoever he was, he won the fancy dress prize again ! Photos to follow if you're lucky.

well done to him and all that run, not many of whom were from Macc H.

A goodly collection of outfits on show this year, amongst which xmas puddings, minions, cavemen, bats, a sumo wrestler and a mobile disco complete with turntables, all causing much confusement amongst the ramblers. Barking mad the lot of 'em.

Really? Are you sure? Did not expect that if it is true. Personally I would have gone for the chap with the mobile disco.

Sorry Dave, good as you were my vote (if I had one) would have gone to this little man with the big heavy chap on his shoulders. Although my son tells me this outfit is commercially available so perhaps he didn't put the effort in that you did.

Brian

Yes he was very good - a really effective outfit. However, paying off Bryan clearly worked.....it is costing a fortune in engraving bills
