JURA 2015

Postby Philip Barnes » Mon May 25, 2015 9:54 am

A big thank you to Messrs Tucker, Mooney and McFadyen for their smiling support out on the route this weekend and sharing some well earned ales at the post race celebrations.
I know it's a bugger to get to but it really is one of the very best races in the UK and it would be great to see Macc represented next year. Just get some AL's under your belt to qualify and get some serious hill reps in before the event :D

The entries for Jura 2016 are open on the 1st December 2015 and I note that the race is now the last weekend in May.

Anyone who is interested in a long weekend away is more than welcome to join the few Macc runners taking part. I have never ran Jura before, but by all accounts the race, weekend and the island is a "must do".

Further details will follow next year.

As TOP was reduced to a BL, who's qualified for Jura 2016??

Phil

Emailed Jura organiser and he obviously wasn't aware of Pendle and amended course. However, he confirmed he will accept Pendle BL. Good news for those counting Pendle as their 2nd AL. There was some Pennine runners there Phil so may be a good idea to let the club know.
