light weight ice axe?

Postby Digby » Wed Jan 21, 2015 9:03 pm

Kirsty and I are doing the Dark Mountains MM on Saturday in the Howgils. Steep slopes and snow means that a light weight ice axe would be a handy bit of safety kit. Does anyone have a spare one that they could lend us for this weekend? I could collect and return it.
Thanks.

Hi Digby,

Yes, I have a nice Grivel AirTech Evolution ice axe you can borrow. It is 53 cm long and something in the region of 450g.
I live in the middle of Macc, near Coare St by the Kings School. I'll be in tonight and tomorrow. PM or e-mail me if you want it.

Cheers
Matt
