Bollington Street Orienteering - Wednesday Night (17th)

Postby Andy Skelhorn » Mon Dec 15, 2014 10:02 am

A reminder of the format for Wednesday night's annual Steet Orienteering event from the Vale.
Registration after 6.30 with a 7pm start. 90 minutes. Solo or teams of more.
Bring a pen/pencil, a waterproof bag for your custom built non-waterproof map and a torch. A compass is not essential, but might help for those who have trouble orienting the map.
It is mostly on road and streetlit (the two offroad checkpoints are optional), but you may need to peer at numbers and maps in dark corners.
Food can be ordered from the Vale until 9.

Thanks Andy, it was great!
This must be the most fun that can be had in Bollington in 90 minutes on a rainy evening.

I agree, that was excellent fun! Thanks Andy! I took two maps in plastic bags and they were both still soggy at the end. I think Andy is a rain god - the clouds love him and want to water him and his events :) A brill night out - thanks again.

Thanks Andy (and team) for putting this great event on - I think that the weather does add a 'certain something' to it!

I need to work out how to get a wet arm all the way inside a plastic bag to write down the answer to 'Control 4' without turning the rest of the sheet into papier mache....

An amazing performance from Jo. How does she do it with her little legs?

Thanks Andy.

Thanks for that barry, I might have little legs but they obviously went in the right direction! Thanks to andy for another fun night out. The trophy is on the shelf next to the other one I won this week at cross country. :D
