09:30 Mam Tor car park (the free one on the old Mam Tor road, not the NT Car park at Man Nick). Wear your winter woolies 'cos if lucky we might get some snow. Tea and cake after at Stocks Cafe in the market place @ Chapel (probably).

Sorry folks but I am not going to make it in the morning. I seem to be going down with a chill or something similarly unpleasant
Andy Skel was going to lead the run (or at least follow Lilly) and unless we hear otherwise I would assume he still is.

The Famous Five Beat Ragged Retreat From Mam Tor - actually, in Enid Blyton's eyes we were Six, as dogs count.
In quite nice crisp largely clear weather, Andy, Lilly, Julie Fletch, Martin and Mandy, and I headed up Mam Tor. The first sign of things to come was a magnificent rainbow. This was swiftly followed by a hail storm and then a fierce gale. So not far up the wiggly red line as shown on the above photo we decided on a change of plan, headed down and hit the Limestone Way into the centre of Castleton and back to the cars which sped us to Stocks Café in Chapel. Somewhat bracing, as they say in Skegness.

I'm glad to hear there are still a few sane fell runners in the club, Brian, but I'm surprised you manage to tear Andy, off the hill in such ' piffling conditions'. I presume you had to wrestle him to the ground and lash him to Lilly, before the group took control of the situation and headed downwards to where the masses roam and take some comfort in a place of suferable warmth. :D
