Alison's BG Attempt 6th June

Postby Julian Brown » Fri May 09, 2014 4:29 pm

After making it round the Fellsman 60 mies and the Long Distance walkers' 100 miler over the last two weekends, club member Alison Brind .... on the left, er, right...

Image

has decided it's time she had a go at the Bob Graham. Plenty of training has been completed, and she's quietly confident she can give it a go, or something, if someone'll point her in the right direction and ply her with cake. Steady pace, no records will be broken.

It'll be on the 6th June, usual 6pm ish start, clockwise - Skiddaw first.

She's got a few folk pencilled in, but she 'd quite like a few more navigators and pacers if anyone would like to help. No doubt transport up / back, and to / from legs can be sorted out.

(Coincidentally this is the weekend of the Keswick Beer Festival).

If you're able to help, please let me know what / where / when, and I will pass on. Ta muchly.

I'm away at the LAMM that weekend sadly, would have loved to help out. Good luck Alison, I think you'll do a really good job of it!

If I wasn't injured I would have loved to help - but sadly still can't run a step.
I will be in Keswick though, and more than willing to help in other ways if I can.

Sadly, still working, so won't be able to make it.

Very best of luck Alison.

Enjoy the day.

She wasn't able to start due to an injured foot. She's thinking of rescheduling for July though. A lucky decision I think - I supported another BG round leg 3 on Saturday afternoon and the weather was pretty poor so it was slow going.
