An African Afternoon

Postby Philip Barnes » Tue Jun 11, 2013 10:03 am

On Sunday June 30th, we are hosting a fundraiser for Kampala Children's Centre up at Styperson Pool.
If the Sunday morning massive want run from here on that day, you would be very welcome. We will be providing the usual UMLIMITED teas, coffees and cakes PLUS some African Food ( matoke, spicy rice, chapatti), African Music ( not live), and hopefully a craft shop. For this we are requesting £7.50 which I hope people find reasonable.
Please let me know if this is ok so I can arrange parking. PLEASE CAR SHARE WHEREVER POSSIBLE.

On a related note: if anyone has some 'world music' in your cd collection ( Mali, Senegal etc) i would love a borrow!
Thanks for listening.

Oh and my most excellent event poster can be found on the KCC Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/kampalachildren

Can the usual Sunday Morning crew let me know if you will be running from Styperson this Sunday. I have been guided by the cooks who say that all the hot food may not be ready so we can still offer tea and cakes for a fiver.
As mentioned before parking will be VERY restricted so if you do plan to attend, please car share/use Holehouse lane/ do whatever you can to minimise traffic. Thanks.
