Wednesday Run 9th November - Meet at Drum and Monkey Pub

Postby Steve Swallow » Tue Nov 08, 2011 9:08 pm

Can I suggest that we meet at the Drum and Monkey in Alderley Edge as the NT carpark at the Edge will be closed at dusk.

I've spoken to the pub and they are happy with us meeting there. I know this is a bit of a tricky pub to find but the google maps location looks pretty good, there's information at the following link above and the grid reference is SJ 849 786

I'm happy to lead th run as needed, hope to see you there & please pass on to anyone who might not see this post

Cheers Steve

Hi,

What time is the Wednesday fell run meet? I'd like to come and check it out, with a view to joining the club if I like it.

Thanks

Matt

we meet for a 7pm start, so a bit before that.

can i suggest that those who read this go to the drum and monkey, but i can guarantee there'll be some who won't, so i'll go up to the edge and let anyone who turns up there know, then will try to find the pub with hopefully more success than last time.

I have a great smelling route for you all. Lots of rocks and trees and squirrels and stuff. It's just barking.

Matt,
If you`re thinking of joining you need to be aware that"liking it " is NOT what we`re about.
Seriously though we hope to see you soon.

thanks for the route and the geological interludes Lilly (who said she wasn't a clever dog),
we started with 10 and finished with 10 - just not the same 10.
but on the contrary Brian we don't know where you went ....
felt it our duty to stop in the pub half the night to see if you'd turn up...

while i'm on I'm doing the wed nights for the next x months, and i'm looking for volunteers to lead a run.
pick yourself a venue and a route you like !
i have a few names and venues already, if you don't volunteer don't worry, i've put you down anyway.
hills preferable but not compulsory.
