This is a "relatively easy" long and a club counter. I'm leaving my house ca 9.30 and picking Kathleen up on route. Room for a couple more.

None of my relatives found it easy......

Course very dry at the moment, according to the person who put the signs out, but Stakeside descent still 'orrible.

If you could park at the Community school and walk up that'd be spiffing, thanks.

We're hoping to have pre-race brews in exchange for one of these.

I will be sweeping with my big broom, so if you see me you will know it has all gone horribly wrong.....

I'll be there unless Langdale kills me.

Which, given the weather forecast, is not altogether unlikely...

Hi Barry,

I'm on for a lift, thanks!
09.35 outside the Old Ship?

If the car fills up, I'm happy to drive my car as well.

OK Matt. That's 3 of us at the moment with Kathleen; 4 if Mark joins us (park up at mine, Mark).

Cheers Barry

Thanks to everyone who came to support the race, runners, sweepers, and a few other folk who helped out at the start / finish.

Quite a few of you amongst the prizes including the team prize ! for those who employed tactics of 'lead them astray then run off' it clearly worked !

Shame about the weather: we'll try harder next year.

Just a 100 yards from the finish. So busy posing for the camera I let Dennis and the guy behind pip me.
Don't recall it being as wet underfoot the path up Berry Clough was a stream of water. I missed Julian's amendment to the kit requirements whereby a "chainsaw" might be useful in the woods before Windgather.
Cracking time from Simon given the conditions.
This was a long counter in the club champs just 2 to go and all to play for. Next race the Roaches followed by the club handicap.

Thanks Julian for all your efforts.

Barry
