Roaches 2016

A bumper turnout, perhaps 20? of Harriers for this year's bogfest including a goodly number of ladies (none ran last year). Watering of the course was not required this year, but great weather for running.
Dan, well rested after his BG, and Pete were well up the pointy end, with Graham not too far behind.
Rumour has it Steve wisely ensured he he wouldn't run out of energy, 8 pints of old peculier and a vindaloo, with a kebab on the way home the night before.
Barry completed his 13th lap just under the 3 hour mark, a couple of weeks before his big birthday !
Clare, Sophie and Gill chased each other round to finish well up in the Ladies and win the Ladies team ! Although at least one of them was complaining it was a bit too short.
Clare, Mandy and Barry won vets prizes !
Steph and Fred were joint winners of the NUM down t'pit prize, indeed the amount of mud they brought back must have been a substantial percentage of their weight.
And several harriers completed their longest fell race in good style, well run all.
Many thanks to Andrew, Geoff and the gang for the race again, the 25th time Andrew has organised it, not forgetting all those out on the course keeping us safe and having a good laugh at our expense.
