I have been promoting this to D group and there is a fair bit of interest.

I may do a recce run for them one Sunday morning in December.

The D Group 'recce' run of the Bowstones Fell Race route will be from Nelson Pit Car Park at 9.30am on Sunday 4th December at 9.30am.

I know that this clashes with Stockport 10 and also the new Wilmslow 10k (both road races) and also a recce run for the fell handicap but it was the only Sunday available.

At least people have lots of choices!

Ladies

I spoke to Emma on Sunday morning and several Macc ladies are entered in Bowstones on NYE. I have an entry and was going to run in fancy dress - a nun.

Invite to perspective nuns in Harriers to don a pair of white knickers on their head, black head scarf thing, wear black running kit with a bit of white t-shirt underneath and make a cross to go around your neck. The Bible is an optional extra

It would be fun fun (Emma mentioned Nuns on the Run - no tele so was lost on me)and we could even pretend we are virgin's for an hour or so.

If anyone knows somebody who is running the race, but doesnt do the fell forum, could you let them know.
