Just to make sure I'm heading to the right place later, the meeting point is the Derbyshire Bridge Ranger Centre?

The Ranger centre is give as GR011734. This is not the meeting point. You need GR 019 716.
Go past the Cat & Fidddle pub from Macc, then 1st left about 300 yds after the Cat & Fiddle, The car park is at the bottom of that road - about a mile.
