The venue is just below Hen Cloud, park on the road opposite the tea room. Andy has a cunning plan to include meeting the Roaches race runners en-route.

It's official! - there are no footpath diversions round Ferny Knowl Farm, and the string (that looked like electric fence)that was across the right of way soon after we left the Well Farm track shouldn't have been across the path. The relevant Authority apparently was informed of the problems round there in August and another e mail has been sent. Just keep on using the public footpaths round there as marked on the OS Map.
