SPOTY`s just finished, great wildlife & cooking prpogrammes notwithstanding THE PROGRAMME of the year.
So my personal highlights to invite input.........................
The" we`re olympic champions moment from the 2 rowers"who I can`t even name
They made me angry from Ainlsley (who maybe should have won it)
BIG MIG,maybe the only other clean rider in 30 years(unless you`re British of course) to win the Tour confirming Lance is innocent....300 drug tests & a French vendetta never found anything
SEB COE-I don`t know about you but I never believed it would succeed,so pleased to be wrong
Brad & Froome outclimbing the Tour
Murray`s Wimbledon speech
Europe`s Ryder comeback
Martine Wright on SPOTY
Wilson`s composure in winning gold
Mickleson`s response to Rose`s putt
Michael Johnson`s input to BBC
Denise Lewis.......anywhere anytime
Ennis winning that 800 when she didn`t have to
Alastair Cooke
Brad`s winning speech
The F1 season & it`s finale
And of couse football`s response to a wonderful year of sport....cheating,racism & violence because "it`s tribal" so that makes it OK
Hope you disagree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Phil, you have surely forgotten from your list "Mr Marginal Gains".
Dave Brailsford, I thought, was a most worthy Coach of the Year award.
"Our round bike wheels are rounder than the French teams" - a classic quote.

For me it was England's demolition of the All Blacks!
And in the spirit of stirring it up: I am absolutely convinced that Armstrong was a cheat and that a culture of denial was and clearly still is prevalent amongst cycle enthusiasts. Sorry Phil but posting about Armstrong is guaranteed a polarised response

At the risk of getting moderated I like Everest Mandy's suggestion on FB about Jess Ennis getting SPOTY 2012's rear of the year

Craig, you`re right. If england seriously wanted to win the soccer world cup they`d appoint him tomorrow....can you imagine what he`d do to the likes of Rooney, terry et al.
Sorry barnesy i`m not nominating people from minority sports like badminton, tabletennis & rugby.
As far as cycling is concerned I just don`t think you can convict someone on hearsay when ALL the evidence denies it....but more importantly IF he did it he`s no more guilty than ALL the other TDF winners over 30 years, except Bradley of course `cos he`s English
Knew I`d stir some of you up

Phil I agree they were ALL at it and this is what Bradley had to say: – Wiggins describes the corrosive legacy of Armstrong, newly stripped of his seven Tour wins because of his endemic, team-wide doping regime. "It wasn't a surprise," Wiggins says of the report that damned the Texan. "The anger is more: I've got to pick up the pieces. He's still a multimillionaire, and he's not here to answer the questions. I can't not answer them because I've got to go and race next year, and I hate talking about it."

So lets draw a line under any suggestion that Armstrong was clean, unless someone wants to suggest they were closer to what was going on than Bradley.
