A friend of mine has recently bought a Petzyl Nao head torch which seems excellent for running and cycling. It is quite pricey at around £100.00. Has anyone got one, or seen/heard any reviews?

I think Mark Townsend had one on the Dragons Back. It seemed to light the way OK!

What was the name of the cheapo Chinese head torch, that is supposed to be even better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.

there is a review of the petzyl nao torch in the new edition of trail runner magazine...available at all good newsagents...

I'm potentially interested in getting one of these. If there are a few of us interested we could explore a bulk buy for a discount. Cheapest I've found is about £120. Post on here if you want to join in.

Aren't these ultra bright torches tantamount to a kind of cheating? In my day we used a candle in a cut away tin can.
