English Fell Running Championship 2012

Postby Philip Barnes » Tue Nov 29, 2011 2:51 pm

English Fell Running Championship ;

It would be marvellous if our club could be represented next year. This year we had Richard Houghton finishing in a great 15th position in the V40 category, but I think no-one else.
We could organise more social weekends for the lakes based events with good 'Sunday Morning runs' the day after.

17th March 2012 - Lads Leap Fell Race 'Short Counter' http://www.fellrunner.org.uk/races.php?id=2067

14th April 2012 - Coledale Horseshoe Fell Race 'Medium Counter' http://www.fellrunner.org.uk/races.php?id=1890

16th June 2012 - Great Lakes Run Fell Race 'Long Counter' http://www.fellrunner.org.uk/races.php?id=2006

4th August 2012 - Borrowdale Fell Race 'Long Counter' http://www.fellrunner.org.uk/races.php?id=1781

18th August 2012 - Weasdale Horseshoe 'Medium Counter' http://www.fellrunner.org.uk/races.php?id=1644

29th September 2012 - Kielder Blast Fell Race 'Short Counter' http://www.fellrunner.org.uk/races.php?id=1891

This will not be the last you have heard from me on this topic :shock:

Phil B. Just thought I'd point out that Richard Houghton is a V45 and was 7th in the English Champs 2011.

Sorry Richard!!
I saw your V40 status and didn't look further. You don't look old enough to be V45 :oops:

Suppose I could venture over the pass for Coledale and Borrowdale?

I am going to try and have a go at these.

Though not the Great Lakes as some inconsiderate friend has arrange their wedding on that day. It is almost like some people don't care that there is a championship race on!

Shame as it is the best one.
