Hi

Not been on the forum for yonks, but will put this down in my diary and so please count me in for support. I can confirm Julie's comments re the flat in Greendale - it's a great base and very functional and practical (ie so no worrying about cream carpets or anything like that).

Kath - think we should get you in the 14 hours just so you can rebuff all the comments. After seeing you in the Aguille Rouge last year I know you could go sub 14 and would be great to help you do that!

cheers

Tux, methinks June 2010 might be a little difficult, better to try 2011.

Little Og (who on earth are you?!!) yes am often free mid week and would drop you e mail but in the great words of The Who "Who are you Who oo"!! Embarassingly don't know who half the people are on the forum, whether they have put their proper name or a ...... decided can't spell it! Am often free on Thursdays and Fridays, but after saying that won't be for a week or so, but hopefully we can get in touch and go for a midweek run.

Just been checking the 2011 calendar for 26/27 June, the officially announced attempt dates (Phil said so it must be true!). This is Sunday and Monday, is this correct or is it just conceivable that an error has occurred and it should be Sat 25th/ Sun 26th :?

2010...2011.....Sunday.....Monday.Oops & double oops.
Definitely Saturday June 25th.
Flat is booked Friday & Saturday nights.Aim is to have a group meal(& maybe a beer or2) in the pub in Eskdale afterwards.Pub is 20 mins walk back across the fields. There is a campsite right by the pub where those who can`t fit in the flat can stay.
We`ll aim for a 7pm finish to allow plenty of recovery time in the pub so we will be looking for 1 or 2 brave souls to do an early shift(2am!) out of Pooley Bridge.

Bad news for me at the moment. Still having problems with my knee and Consultant has told me definitely no running for a few weeks. Am really worried I won't be fit enough for the Naylor, but keeping fingers crossed. One good thing is I'm retiring end of March so hopefully by then will be up and running and able to put quite a lot of time in. Oodles of sympathy required please!!!!

Aaahh, Hazel... that's a pity... the wallaby can now hop with gay abandon, knowing no-one will discover it's Oakenclough retreat... unless you know the area better Dave?

Like Andrea, please let me know of any recces. Now have days off in the week, so may have more flexibility.

No Chris, Phil means Eskdale!!!!

nb to all readers who don't understand this, it's an inside joke (wasn't funny at the time though) which I am sworn not to divulge unless plied with copious amounts of beer.
