Any word on the schedule yet? If I can't keep up on whole leg am hoping can do bits and then shortcut to catch-up or something like that. Tempted by Wasdale fell race a little bit, but would rather support this BG if poss. Will be in lakes either way that weekend.

Just to let you know that Jonathan is not intending to compete with Billy and Mark! He's running on a 23h 20min schedule and is intending to get round rather than aiming for a fast time. I only have a paper copy of the schedule and the key timings are as follows:
Depart Moot Hall on Friday 12th July at midnight
Arrive Threlkeld 03:50
Arrive Dunmail 08:22
Arrive Wasdale 15:03
Arrive Honister 20:18
Arrive Moot Hall 23:20

Macc Support is as follows:
Leg 1 Matt
Leg 2 [Matt]
Leg 3 Phil - Jonathan has already arranged a navigator for this leg but he'd welcome your company anyway and I'm sure that your advice would be appreciated.
Leg 4 Mudskimmer, Everest Mandy, Fletch, Digby
Leg 5 Mudskimmer, Everest Mandy, Fletch

I'll put everone in touch by e-mail with Jonathan but will need Everest Mandy's and Matt's e-mail addresses - pl. can you text these to me on 0771 749 7640.
Thanks, Digby

Digby,
If I`m not needed to lead leg 3 I`d rather take a break from it(it would be my 5th this summer).Should I help "Les Girls" with the nav on 4,not that I`m as good as CC on the demon shortcuts but I`d reckon to get him round.
On another topic we need to talk about your PB.Who`s doing what etc....bring maps to talk to CC & me tomorrow

Some navigational help on leg 4 would be great - I think we know it (or we should by now), but it would be good to 'cement' our (my) knowledge of the route.

Hi Phil

I agree we need to discuss plans. I will make sure I am at the Ship tomorrow night. My thoughts at the mo are to make my way up there either Friday and camp somehwere, or Saturday and camp Sat night. On hols at the mo, in fact til the 21st so free to stay up there if wish, but all very weather dependant! and of course whether I can find the courage to find me way round the fells on me own!

Hi Julie

Did you have a good saunders? I'm thinking about trying to wangle Fri off so can recce fell races and then free to go with flow sunday rather than feel have to recce.

You'd be fine on the fells on your own, you've loads of fell running experience. That said it's more fun when there is someone else to laugh at you when you go A over T, as will probably happen to me now we have nice wet gound conditions!

G the G and Me will be going up Friday night - I can't get the day off I'm on retirement course?!
Our plan is to eat at the Salutation and then kip in the car at Threlkeld ready for the L2 03.50 ish start, then he'll drive round to Dunmail to pick up E Mandy & me.
The plan then is to camp somewhere close to Keswick and then up to Honister for L5.
We are also planning to stay over to Monday - weather permitting.
