I fancy this. All I need is clearance from the coop. A few hand fulls of mixed corn should do the trick as well as a clean layer of straw in the nest boxes. My girls likes nothing better than to squat in comfort on a pile of bedding.

I might come along if that is OK with everybody - 1.30 at the bottom Teggs Nose car park.

Just so I am clear, the bottom Teggs nose car park is the one with information centre/toilets, or is there another one I haven't found yet?

Andrea,
NO that`s the TOP car park.
We are cheapskates & hence park at BOTTOM(no toilets) for free.
GR946717 Past Church House pub Thru Langley keep left passed Church, and take next left(no through road) uphill & turn left along dam wall to muddy car park.

Great afternoon out and actually missed the rain (after waiting in the cars for 10 mins whilst it passed over, that is).

Really nice run with excellent company, and with Mr Blythe taking it easy so the mere mortals could keep up

Yes it turned out rather nice in the end with bright sunshine. Who would have thought that at 1:30pm? An excellent afternoon. Didn't manage to do the whole route though but that wasn't a problem because I had the excellent company of Phil, who hadn't intended to do the whole route anyway because of commitments later in the afternoon. It's amazing where the time goes when one's actually enjoying it so it didn't seem that long before we were back at the cars.

That was a good outing that was even though this mortal couldn't keep up with the Blythe spirit.
