Sunday Run : 24th March

Postby BrianMac » Thu Mar 21, 2013 10:36 pm

09:30 from Hope, park near the school (if anybody has any more precise direction please post)

The plan is to stay low up the valley to Castleton before climbing up to the ridge at Mam Nick then back along the ridge to cheer on the Skyliners who should be coming the other way.

This is a weather dependant plan so post here if you are up for the challenge that way if we are forced to amend the plan we can let people know.

Also post here to car share. Tucker is doing some road trotting around Wilmslow and won't be coming out to play so we won't be meeting at Tucker Towers.

I'm intending to run on Sunday. Looks like it will be fun/interesting/challenging- maybe those doing the race might think of some better words!!

As the Skyline is cancelled and roads might be a bit tricky I will not be going to Hope. If I am out I will go to Barry's.

Bugger! Joy's just made a carrot cake which means I might only get 1 piece.

You might only get a crumb if Greg, Me and Becks come to yours too.

Some of the lanes round here are full of snow - not even passable in a snowplough!

Love to join y'all... carrot cake... even better.

However, ...working.

I'll be thinking of you.

Was planning a trip up to Lakes on Tuesday, but looking doubtful in this weather. :(

We got to the start and managed to get round our trundle. Not too bad but heavy going everywhere and very chilly on top of them lester hills. Only about 200 of 400 turned up so industrial quantities of food at end, coupled with friday nights do means no food for me till Wednesday at least.

Heavy snowfall on the way home meant we couldn't do the Leicester beer festival justice.

Today's frollics in the snow went this-a-way. Thanks go to Barry for stepping into the breach at such short notice and to Joy for the cracking Orange & Walnut cake.

A couple more pics from Stevie Woods. Funny that we didn't notice the huge hairy bigfoot in the first picture at the time.
