We`re leaving Pete`s at 9,30 so running from Whaley by 1015.
Expect 4 hours & cafe stop.

I fancy participating in this as long as it is not too fast. I'll drive up to Whaley and meet you there if that's ok. What car do I look out for. I'm in a Blue Toyota Yaris with a bust bumper!

Seriously - why?
It took us 2hrs to cover 4ish miles today - on & off road, with serious wind chill, from those strong east winds on high ground.
Any other time count me in - but the weather conditions are just too unpleasant.

Just to cheer you up a friend of mine in Wincle had to dig several sheep out of drifts yesterday - three dead - drifts up to 15ft - he is more or less house bound even with four wheel drive - lives on the track going to Wincle Grange.

Angie,
Sorry we stood you up this morning. We couldn`t get there from Macc.Huge drifts even on the main road which hadn`t been cleared.
We ended up doing a run from rainow over to Lamaload up towards the cat then left down Thurlspit & back up past Rona`s.
The road alongside Lamaload is completely full of snow for hundreds of Yards.

You should have joined us Phil. Out for ca 2hrs and a bit like being kids again with the drifts. Had more than tea & carrot/walnut cake thanks to donations. 12 set off and 12 came back with a few collected and lost on route.

cheers Barry
