Sunday Run 6th May 2012

Postby david tucker » Fri May 04, 2012 8:14 pm

9.30 Cat & Fiddle lay-by. A ~2 hour run in what should be good weather (can't be worse than last week) where we can cruise some nice skylines for good views or descend to the valleys if it gets orrible.

Whatever, the Cafe just down the road from the pub is the place for tea and cakes afterwards.

After our run today arriving at the parking opposite the Cat and Fiddle we were accosted by a somewhat distraught man who asked us if we had seen a dog.
He had lost it a few days before and has seen it on the moors nearby a couple of time but not been able to catch it. Description and tel no are on a post near the start of the footpath adj to the parking. If Julie G is there she will explain all. We told him that you would all be out looking on the Sunday run. All part of the service!

Didn't see any lonely dogs on our ramble, I am sure Lilly would have found him if he was out there. This is the route we took

Tuckers "fancy a little challenge" detour from just before the bridge @ 6.5miles (just after the 3rd photo) is not one to be recommended in the direction taken. Better done in the other direction, if at all.
A few pics from the day.
