Bilberry disease

Please could you check out the Peak District National Park web site www.peakdistrict.gov.uk and look at the news release regarding the bilberry disease on the Roaches. It will be absolutely devastating if this spreads, it is already decimating large areas of Cannock Chase. Please pass on to anyone you know who uses the Roaches. Thanks

If I'm not mistaken, the part of the Roaches affected by this problem is either close to or actually on the course of next week's Wincle Trout Race! Perhaps the organiser ought to make an announcement st the start of the race asking everyone to wash their fellshoes after the race! There are a number of runners coming over for this race from North Wales and it would be no good if they brought Bilberry Disease over here!!!
